Our Story
Nestled in the heart of downtown Amesbury, Massachusetts, inside All About You Salon, you’ll find The Hair Chair—a space built by two best friends who share a love for hair, creativity, and making people feel their absolute best.
What started as a friendship grew into a partnership and, eventually, a dream we could call our own. We’re two independent stylists who have the privilege of working side by side, cheering each other on, sharing in each other’s creativity, and creating a space where our clients feel like they’re catching up with old friends.
At The Hair Chair, everyone is welcome. Whether you’re stopping in for a blowout before dinner downtown, refreshing your cut and color, or ready for a complete transformation, we’re here to make your experience personal, comfortable, and uniquely yours.

Danielle Sanborn
Hi, I’m Danielle! I’ve been doing what I love for over 20 years, and I’m just as passionate about hair today as I was when I started. I love working with women, men, high schoolers, and young adults, creating looks that feel personal to each client.
I specialize in cuts, color, and foils—especially lived-in foils. I love creating beautiful, dimensional color that feels natural, effortless, and easy to maintain. I’m also passionate about continuing my education and staying up to date on the latest trends, techniques, and styles, so I can always bring something new to my clients.
Outside of the salon, I’m a happily married mom of three. I have two kids in college and one in high school, so life keeps me busy! When I’m not behind the chair, I love fitness, reading, traveling, and all the holidays. Most of all, I love spending time with my family and making memories together.
I feel so lucky to have a career that allows me to be creative, connect with people, and help my clients feel confident and their best.

Megan Ackerman
With 20 years behind the chair, I bring experience, creativity, and personality to every appointment. Specializing in color, foils, haircuts, and vivid transformations, I loves helping clients express themselves through bold, beautiful hair.
My style is alternative, fun, and a little funky—perfect for anyone looking to step outside the box or elevate their everyday look.
When I'm not in the salon, you’ll find me at concerts, immersed in music, rolling dice in a game of Dungeons & Dragons , or spending time with my husband and two young boys.
In my chair, you can always expect a personalized, one-on-one experience, a friendly smile, and hair that feels uniquely you.
